Bystronic Inc. has relocated their North American headquarters to Huntington 90 Business Park in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Conor Commercial Real Estate served as the developer of their build-to-suit headquarters facility and Experience Center.
“Bystronic is a world-class manufacturer of high-quality machines and systems, and they needed a first-rate space to support their operations,” stated Brian Quigley, Executive Vice President of Conor. “Their new Experience Center will allow the company to continue to grow as they expand their reach.”
Bystronic selected an 11.2-acre lot within Huntington 90 for its Experience Center because of its premier location. The high-visibility site offers ultra-convenient access to I-90 at the Barrington Road interchange and it is just minutes from interstates 290, 294 and 355. It is also only 18 miles from O’Hare International Airport and 31 miles from Chicago’s central business district.
The building consists of 165,000 square feet of space to support Bystronic’s headquarters office, showroom, and manufacturing and warehouse operations. The Experience Center will allow visitors to see and understand how Bystronic uses automation, digital networking and intelligent services to manufacture their sheet metal products.
The two-story office features 30,000 square feet of open and private offices as well as a café, while the 32′ clear height showroom encompasses 28,500-square-feet and a 1,500-square-foot mezzanine. The 102,800-square-foot warehouse and manufacturing area also features a 32′ clear height and incorporates two 30-ton equipment cranes and four 20-ton equipment cranes. The facility also features five truck docks and four drive-in doors.
On-site parking includes a parking lot for 150 vehicles with the capacity to be expanded by an additional 50 spaces.
McShane Construction Company served as the general contractor for Bystronic. The architect of record is Heitman Architects.
